Acceptable Use Policy<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Lumen\u2019s mission is to enable unprecedented learning for all students. Our courseware is a place for people to improve their lives and the lives of their families through education. If people don\u2019t feel safe, they have difficulty learning and contributing to the learning experience. <\/span><\/p>\n

These guidelines clarify what we do and don\u2019t allow in the Lumen platform.<\/span><\/p>\n

Be respectful<\/span><\/h1>\n

We <\/span>do not<\/span> allow content that<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. may harm minors<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Don\u2019t violate intellectual property rights<\/span><\/h1>\n

    We <\/span>do not<\/span> allow content that<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. you do not have a right to make available under any law or under contractual or other relationships<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Don\u2019t engage in illegal, unethical, or malicious activities<\/span><\/h1>\n

      1. You must not impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Do not forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any Content transmitted through the Service.<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. You must not upload or send material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. Do not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the Service.<\/span><\/li>\n
      5. Do not intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law.<\/span><\/li>\n
      6. You must not “stalk” or otherwise harass another person.<\/span><\/li>\n
      7. You must not collect or store personal data about other users in connection with the prohibited conduct and activities set forth in this policy.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Respect the educational purpose of the service<\/span><\/h1>\n

        The following are <\/span>not<\/span> allowed:<\/span><\/p>\n

        1. Unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,” or any other form of solicitation<\/span><\/li>\n
        2. Behavior that disrupts the normal flow of dialogue, or otherwise negatively affects other users’ ability to engage in discussions or exchanges<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Report problems<\/span><\/h1>\n

          If you see something in the Lumen Platform that you believe violates our guidelines or policies, please report it to us at <\/span>support@lumenlearning.com<\/span><\/a>.
